to using IBO instead of IBX. While IBX, at present, seems to work with
FireBird, the rules are constantly changing and it will probably be
incompatible in the near future. Jeff Overcash has stated emphatically that
no modifications will be made to IBX to make if work with FB. Jason Wharton,
author of IBO, has made it plain that he will continue to try to stay
compatible with both. I strictly use IBX and IB so I can't comment further
on IBO's usability but from everything I hear, you shouldn't have any
problems going that route.
