Thank you. This was the type of information I was looking for. Since I
was a total newbie with Firebird, I didn't want to trust my own
limited knowledge of the database when making a decision on whether to
consider it for future applications.

I really appreciate everyone's input on this thread. It has helped me
understand the pros and cons much better.
