Hello Martijn,
aren't available for Linux.
So if this is important for Darryl (or anyone) and you don't want to
use UPPER() in comparisons because it slows things down too much,
Firebird is not the best choice on Linux.
It's a shortcoming, but not as big a shortcoming as I thought this
morning.
