While we are in the process of switching to Builder 6, we have an
immediate need of increasing our licenses of Interbase 4.2, but
cannot obtain additional licenses. So, the hope was trying to use
Firebird. We have an application that is multi-threaded and runs
fine with Interbase 4.2 compiled with Borland Builder C/S 1. But
when trying to use Firebird the application hangs. When looking at
the threads, two threads are in the process calling gds32.dll. Is
the gds32.dll under IB 4.2 thread-safe and now it is not? A simple
application seems to work fine.
