There are bugs around isc4.gdb on 1.0.2 on Linux. Try logging in as root,
restore original isc4.gdb and DO NOT use the -u <USER> -p <PASSWORD> params.
You won't be able to see users & roles with third party tools, but otherwise
everything will work. "GSEC" works, provided you are root user(?). I don't
think changeDBAPassword works at all, but I'm not sure of that.

I've tried reinstalling from scratch and nothing seems to make any
difference. I've installed Firebird on other machines and not seen
this problem. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
