I posted (as a reply) yesterday details of approach and problems
encountered with interfacing via jdbc with interclient/ jca to OpenOffice
and DBvisualiser as well as ODBC with OpenOffice (all on linux clients).

Up to now there are no additional postings. If there is another more
appropriate forum for discussing (ODBC/JDBC) interfacing with firebird
could someone let me know what it is please?
