Greetings:
I would like to know if the bessage is posted to tje appropriate list
please:-
{
I read somewere in the documentation:-
If both client and server are running UNIX you can allow usernames access to
databases by configuring the server host to treat each client as a trusted
host..... this is done by adding the the client in the /etc/host_equiv file.
..the login or the client user must exist on the server.
Good I thought, just like PostgreSQL However when I tried the above it
does not seem to work. I tried on a Firebird servers running on redhat
7.3/suse8 linuxes with both classic and super server configurations and on
clients running suse8 Linux.
Some help would be appreciated.
