Hi there,
I am new to FB. Having developed several applications using IB 6 OE,
I am now stepping up to FireBird and have a question about the so
called over-the-wire protocol. I read that IB 6 returns space padded
varchars to the client, and that IB 6.5 returns only the necessary
characters. How does FB work regarding this matter? For me this is
important because one of my apps is required to run on dial-up
Internet connections.
Thanks in advance,
Jorge Alvarez
