not necessarily - a safe and easy way is to rename the gdb first.
- if any user is still connected, you won't be able to rename
- if you *can* rename, you are also sure that no one can connect while you are
copying...

...now Tobias' only problem will be telling XP to rename first, then make
available offline ;-)
