Hi,
I'm the original author of the firebird ebuild on Gentoo.
First, the firebird package on gentoo is meant for embedded purposes and
builds only the classic server and not the superserver. Just yesterday I
finished a superserver package which installs in another directory, but
it will not be included in portage since I'm not part of Gentoo's dev
team anymore.
I'm now building the original package again to see where you error is
located. If you have any info, don't hesitate providing it to me.
Best regards,
Geert
