Subject Re: [ib-support] Unable to connect over DSL

For the record,
I have almost the identical setup here and I am encountering the same
problem as you have described.

The key similarities are that my machine is connected to the internet via a
cable modem,
it has 2 NIC cards in it, and is acting as a gateway.

I can connect using the IP address (static) from any one of my LAN machines,
but it will not connect outside of my lan, even if I use the same laptop
which means the client & server are identical both inside & outside the lan.

This seems to also apply to the operations of a Web Service I have created.
I believe it has something to do with the fact that the server machine does
have 2 NIC cards in it.

Any help would be great.
THANKS
