Sorry if it has already been asked, but are you using NTFS or FAT?

I have seen with other apps that FAT has a slight bit better
performance.

NTFS is the only file system format that I have seen so far to destroy
hard drives. On windows I try to stick with FAT if possible, or use a
different OS. However depending on the env, you may have to use NTFS?
