Can anyone help solving the above Exception.

The system config is as follows:
RedHat 7.1
ncurses4-5.0-5, glibc-2.2.2-10

I have tried variations on the following :

Servers:
Firebird CS-0.9-4p1 , CS-1.0.0.796-0, SS-0.9-4p1, SS-1.0.0.796-0
InterBaseSS_LI-V6.0-1
linuxclassic_li-v6.0
linuxsuperserver_li-v6.0

JDBC:

IC20001LinuxJRE12
IC20105LinuxJRE13
interclient_201_linux-xinetd
linuxIC2.01

I can connect to the database directly through isql, but as soon as I try a
JDBC connection, I get the following error:

interbase.interclient.BadInstallationException: [interclient] Installed
versions
of InterClient and Interserver use incompatible client/server protocol
versions.

...

I've managed to get a JDBC connection via FirebirdSQL-1.0_beta_1, but some
of my queries aren't supported, and I'm loathe to change an entire app.

Perhaps I've overlooked something, Please help!
