Well even out of negatives come positives.
Thankfully a while back I centralized most external queries in shared
libraries used both in gui's and the web. So luckily I only have to
modify the queries in those, and since the info is being passed along as
params it's not as big of a deal.
Now I will have to do some work on the db's them selves, on triggers,
views and stored procedures so it's not as bad as I originally thought.
Also thankfully I am finding this out on Friday. As my clients, most of
them will not be using the client side gui's over the weekend. They will
not notice as thing as long as I can get the new libraries on the server
shortly after modifying the db. They will then have new versions of the
gui's in their mail box first thing Monday morning.
So I may still be able to get things squared away, and move back to
Firebird before the end of the day. :)
So at least I learned things to avoid when naming columns and etc. I
also learned to make sure to read every bit of release notes prior to
upgrading or changing software. And last but not least, to check the
current and future standards on keywords.
So while it's a big pain, it's just growing pain.
Sorry for thinking it was a bug, and thanks to all for the suggestions
on naming, and alerting me of current and future keywords.
