I don't think it is to far OT. Getting Firebird working as a
FULL replacement for MySQL is IMHO ( I'm getting used to
this smalltalk ) totally on topic.

The Interbase code on php works well, but it would be nice
to have a few more MySQL like commands.

William - Forte 4 Java - That is the sort of pointed stick I
was looking for = I don't mind getting my hands dirty, but
after several days trying to make something work I get a
little PO. php will make me a bit more productive for the
moment, but a download of Forte will be running <g>
