The PHP distribution that comes with SUSE is 4.1, and does
not have the necessary files to recompile it. It seems to be
an 'all-in' php and ibase was excluded from that build. The
include files are provided, but not the 'configure' and
other bits to rebuild, so I seem to be stuck with it.
