Curiosity got the best of me. I read up on SAPDB(www.sapdb.org) and it
started as a project back in 1977, and then progressed into a commercial
database server. It looks like they're trying to resemble Oracle. They
probably went open source 2 years ago(oddly it seems not long after
Interbase went open source), for the same reasons that Borland went open
source with Interbase.

And, I never heard of it either, before today.
