The CD that you can buy from IBPhoenix does have two large documents -
"Using Firebird" and "Firebird Ref. Guide". Together it is 1000+ pages
(5+MB of pdf).
The (old) InterBase beta docs (for IB/6.0) and the InterBase Media Kit (for
IB/6.5) can also be used although there are some differences. I even use
the IB/5 docs sometimes!
