Once you has register the server, is not necessary to put the name of server
in the path name
when you will register the databases of that server!

When you register the database you need give only the path and the name of
.gdb:

example:

if you server is Linux or Unix family:
/usr/companyname/db/database.gdb

if you server is WinNT family
c:\companyname\db\database.gdb

But you may be sure that the server was correctly registered.

Hi,

I register the database (using IBConsole) in file a put the file name that
you told me that I have to do (servername:drive:\path\databasename.gdb) when
I do that I got the following message:

The file name that you specified contain a server name
some operations may not work correctly

and when I connect to the database, and try to see my tables (that I define
in the server) I got the following error:

Unable to retrive a list of tables.
Dynamic SQL Error
SQL error code = -901
feature is not supported

and I got that message from any operations that I try with the database(I
can't see the list of my tables).

What Can I do?
thanks for the help.
