Good morning everyone,
I'm a huge newbie when it comes to Firebird/Interbase, so please be patient
:)
Anyway, what I am trying to do is this: I've backed up an SQL database
located on a local server, with it being transportable. I'm trying to
restore it onto a different server (going from Windows to Red Hat Linux)
running Firebird 1.0. When I try, it tells me it can't open the backup file
and stops the process. I guess the 2 questions I have are: 1) is it
possible to back up a file on 1 server and restore it onto another? 2) If
so, what am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance
