Please!
The process below used to install firebird is wrong?

I downloaded firebird super server for linux from:
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/firebird/FirebirdSS-1.0.0.796-0.64IO.
i386.rpm
And install with "rpm -Uvh FirebirdSS-1.0.0.796-0.64IO.i386.rpm"
when i check service firebird it appear as stoped, then i tray "service
firebird start" and receive this message: (Unable to complete network
request to host "localhost". Failed to establish a connection.
Connection refused unable to open database) I check file hosts.equiv,
appear two lines:
localhost.localdomain
localhost@localdomain

I check file hosts, appear:
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost

Whats wrong????
