Subject RE: [ib-support] Connection to NT - NO GO !!!!!

The directory is shared and available to everyone. If I use IB_SQL with the
path 'NTSERVER:D:\databases\ourdb.gdb'
I get the error I have always got. Everyone has rights on the file
itself(full control).

I tried connecting to isc4.gdb locally on the server using IB_SQL which just
hangs with the ibo cursor in place.

Thanks,
Dion.

So the next check is - is the directory that the database is
in, or the database file it's self accessable to other
users. One thing that keeps bitting me, having copied the
file of a CD, you MUST make it read/write ( switch off the
read only )

I have used the the Wise Firebird install up to now, but the
test programs are reporting that the server is running, so
you could try looking at isc4.gdb and see if you can open
that.
