But you still will have this problem with the isc4.gdb ...
Will that be changed for FB1? Or will it be a parameter in the config file?

I'm using FDB as well.
Hi, since the M$ WinXP seems to be a real problem for *.GDB files extension
(the pro version tryes to "repair" *.GDB files that have been modified), and
since M$ will not change that behaviour to please us, what could be the
"official"/standard file extension for Firebird databases? Someone suggested
*.FDB, and I'm using it, but wanna know if there is something already widely
adopted.
