different animals, IMO. I remember a discussion a while back on this group
about delimiting dates using a particular character, such as the # (hash)
mark like Access does, etc. Not all databases allow you to use a string
value to compare dates. Also, IIRC, IB and FB only recognize dates in
certain formats as well. So, I think there is precedence for my way of
thinking. It may not be universal, but it does exist. :)
