you might want to explain that Sun are dropping development for Solaris
X86 because they see Linux as the future. All their low-end appliances
are running Linux, not Solaris and this is a division that is growing.
If Sun doesn't find Linux risky (and neither do IBM) why should your
client?

Whether Sun is right to drop the OS or not, I have no idea.
