Hi all,
I'm not sure if my question is strictly related to this newsgroup,
but I don't know where else to post it.
From Firebird_v1_ReleaseNotes.pdf:
... The recommended tool is IBBackup, a freeware binary by Martin
Schmid ...
I've downloaded this tool and tried to backup one of my databases,
but it persistently rejects the backup. In the output file there's
an error message:
gbak: gbak version WI-V6.2.794 Firebird 1.0
gbak: ERROR: Your user name and password are not defined. Ask your
database administrator to set up a Firebird login.
gbak: Exiting before completion due to errors
I have a completely new FireBird Version 1 installation, the User name
and Password are SYSDBA and masterkey. I CAN backup the database with
gbak.exe from the command prompt.
Does anybody have the same problem with IBBackup?
What am I doing wrong?
TIA, Zoli
