Subject RE: [ib-support] Firebird 1.0 Merge Modules

Claudio,

Perhaps I ought to clarify that as the intent is that the "additional" code
and scripts are GPL'ed, everything else is covered by its original licence.
The new code is a small dll that contains code mainly for checking that
InterBase/Firebird is not already running, and to update (if needed) the
services file. No big deal, but I thought it best to put the GPL on it
rather than nothing.

If this is an issue then perhaps someone who knows a bit more about
copyright than I do can put me straight.

Regards

Tony Whyman

Sorry for starting the same silly song again, but your merge modules use the
GNU Public License. Does that affect what kind of applications can be
packaged with them? Firebird IPL is almost MPL.
