I have made available a set of Windows Installer Merge Modules for Firebird
1.0 using the binaries made available late yesterday on the
http://www.firebirdsql.org website. These complement the original set of
Merge Modules I made available for InterBase 6.

The intended audience for these Merge Modules is Windows developers who want
to silently install Firebird embedded with their application and use Windows
Installer (or one of its front ends e.g. Installshield Express or Developer,
or Wise for Windows Installer) to install their application. Not all of the
Firebird distribution files are included in the Merge Modules. Specifically,
developer tools, such as gpre.exe and examples are omitted. If you need this
installation then you should be using the full firebird installation
available from http://www.firebirdsql.org

The Merge Modules are self-contained installation scripts and include the
Firebird binaries as well as setting/checking registry settings, etc.

They have been tested with Installshield Express 3.53, Installshield
Developer 7.02 and Wise for Windows Installer 4.01 and appear to work.
