Congratulations to the Firebird team for this enormous achievement!
Please, everyone take the rest of the day off and kick back with a
good aussie beer (is there a bad one?) or a strawberry schnapps or
whatever your fancy and bask in the glow of this milestone. I fully
intend to raise my glass to each and every one of you, from the
coders at the top to the support-group lurkers at the bottom (that
would be me, folks). A great day.
I'm eating up the release docs (as are Borland, I bet <grin>) and
wondered about this entry in the 'features closed' file:
-----
447404 Incomplete ALTER DOMAIN kills engine Feature - Added v1.0
The following incomplete SQL command, kills the engine:
alter domain dom set;
-----
This will probably make perfect sense to me once I toast the 573rd
member of the Firebird team, but is this actually saying that you can
bring down the server with that command? Cute feature :-)
Regards,
Andrew Ferguson
