delphi dolphin, to be found on the delphi-jedi page is imho excellent for
delphi-beginners.
A quite large tutorial in a format somehow similar to Windows HTML Help with
tons of great tips.

http://www.delphi-jedi.org/Jedi:KBASEDOLPHIN:64175

this is the dolphin for offline viewing.

basically the same content plus some more can be found for online viewing at
http://www.delphi-dolphin.com

for working with Interbase, there is IBX with its own online help (and a
chapter in the delphi-documentation, I think) but the best (again IMHO) you
can get is to work with IBOBJects (http://www.ibobjects.com).
Helen Borie wrote an excellent getting-started guide for IBO which needs to
be separately purchased, but the few $$ (30, I think) are well spent.
