does anyone experience with connecting the IB/FB server through internet ? Is is so simple that I only correctly set up the connection string like 'ipaddress:c:\data\mydb.gdb' and connect?

I case of firewall there should not be restricted access via port 3050 I guess.

What about security. The server is running W2000.
I suppose the data are not encrypted when sending then over the net...
