Greetings All,

Delphi 5.1
Interbase 6.01

Does anyone know of a way to determine if Interbase Server is running or not
on a remote server?

On a windows NT Server?

On a Linux Server?

Basically I want a graceful way to exit my application if Interbase is not
running on a remote server. Or better yet a way to start it if it's not
running.

Any helpful pointers appreciated.
