I don't even recall it being reported as a problem before this. Lev's big stumbling block for resolution is that we really are months beyond being interested in problems with that old beta2 or that crusty old Borland beta. A lot of bug-fixes have happened since then, including in the API. It could well be that some fix has already solved the problem.

I suggest that Lev downloads the equivalent version of the Firebird RC2 and tries it out with his problem code. If the problem persists, go to sourceforge.net, join the firebird-devel list and re-post the problem description and the code snippet there. Remember to say which distro and version of Linux you are using, which build of Firebird RC2, say whether you are using Classic or Superserver and how your db cache is set up.
