That's correct.

Changing the 'object' names sizes/limit is planned for after the v1.5
release. At the same time, we are also going to increase the sizes for
index values (currently 254 bytes), as well as some other overdue
changes.

There is nothing wrong with Interbase,
that can't be fixed with Firebird.
