Peter,
some components that makes it possible to transform BDE applications in no
time (installing IBO is currently almost as difficult as transforming a
simple BDE application). IBO consists of two fairly separate sets of
components - one is TDataset-compatible (which is the part easily converted
to from the BDE) and the other is a native set of components (not
compatible with TDataset) with a lot of power.
This just means that it will be more time consuming to change from IBX to
IBO than from BDE to IBO. I know nothing about IBX or FIBPlus, but IBOs
native, data-driven components are a pleasure to use.
