Sorry if this is the wrong place. Please direct me to the correct
list or news group if it isn't.
I am currently seriously looking for Firebird as an alternative for
my Delphi applications using Paradox tables as database storage.
What do I need to do to deploy Firebird to a client PC ? I know about
the server deployments, but am just wondering if 'stand-alone'
database applications as can easily be deployed. Can you have
a 'client-site server' which is started when the application starts,
and shuts down when the application finishes ?
I have a good knowledge of Ms-Sqlserver and of Delphi so this is not
a general newby question, just a newby question towards Firebird.
Thanks for any input you might have.
