For a test I replaced IB with Firebird today. My IBX app works for
99% but my setup doesn't. Firebird is shipped without ibinstall.dll.

I like to use such a dll because it prevents me from (accidently)
screwing up database-installations, especially excisting ones. I
think everybody should use the install api, wrapped in components or
directly when doing an embedded setup. ( The Inno Setup script on
ibinstall.defined.net is a joke. (Have you tried 'My Inno Setup
Extensions'? It's great. (actually they are not my extensions but
Martijn Laan's. ;-) ))).

Does Firebird has an install-api? If yes, where can I find it?
If no, where can I get embedded install information?
