Hi!
I thinking about to migrate 2 of my databases from IB 6.0.2 (dialect3) to
Firebird.
My 2 applications are written in Delphi 5.01 + IBX (newer).
What compatibility problems will I face ? (I hope none)
In these DB's I use some UDF's from a DLL written in Delphi.
I use Windows 2000 and Red Hat 7.3 as servers for the DB's.
I've heard about IBObjects and FIBPlus. So, if I choose to migrate all IBX
componentes from my applications to IBObjets or FIBPlus, what exactly I'll
have to do and what's the best way ? (I know that I must replace all TIB*
componentes to new ones shipped with IBObjetcs or FIBPlus, but about
TFields, are they compatible ?)
I need only a light to make some decisions :)
Thanks
