Hello,
Is there any issues regarding installing Firebird on Slackware Linux?
First I tried installing from the RPM file... I got the error that
"/bin/sh" is needed (but there is then /bin/sh file). Then I downloaded
the ".tar.gz" file and runned the "install.sh". Once again I got the
"/bin/sh" issue... I realised that if i remove the shebang line
"#!/bin/sh" and run those scripts manually (eg: # /bin/sh
./scripts/preinstall.sh ; same for tarinstall and postinstall) it runned
ok. But in the last script, it complained about a "cp" lack o parameters
and "chmod" lack of parameters...
I searched google, altavista and ibphoenix and found no answers!
Details:
Files:
FirebirdSS-1.0.0.796-0.i386.rpm
FirebirdSS-1.0.0.796-0.i386.tar.gz
Slackware: 8.1
Thansk in advance,
Tiago
