Hello,

I am running Firebird 1.0.0.796 on Windows 2K with the latest SP.

Every couple of days, Interbase server would not allow new
connection. The return error message when trying to connect to any
database is:
"cannot attach to password database"
There are a lot of entries in Interbase.log file that reads:
TEST (Server) Mon Oct 21 11:25:37 2002
Database: C:\PROGRA~1\FIREBIRD\ISC4.GDB
internal gds software consistency check (cannot start thread)

I have tried replacing ISC4.GDB with a good file from another
Firebird 1.0.0.79 server (with back up and restore) with the same
result. The latest thing I did today was to reinstall Firebird.
While I am waiting for the outcome in the next couple of days,
perhaps you have an idea of what is going on.
