Pavel, I can't speak about it because personally I never touched
neither sources nor binaries of Yaffil, I use FB on Linux and have no
interest in Win platform. I can just repeat what is said on their site
and on different forums. It was said that many modules are re-written
and most of them on ASM (my personal opinion - blind alley), another
algorithmic solutions are used for the same functionality.

Me too. But they started forking not yesterday, for themselves they
made own forked builds in 2000 and perhaps "many modules" means really
"many".

I hope it is not malicious intent, just neglecting because of lack
of time. They are time to time reminded of it and after some grumbling
spend time to get the sources square and make available part which
they treat they must. Don't forget, they are only two guys working on
Yaffil in their free time.

You are not right here, Pavel. They implemented this functionality
earlier than FB, using pause while FB moved to C++. I don't want to
say FB get ideas from Yaffil, as you know, there was large wishlist
from Russian community accurately selected, hot discussed and voted
before sending it to Sean and included into FB tracker more than a
year ago and most of this features were in this list. You and they use
the same wishes from users to evolve but they had time odds given.
Forum which Set mentioned have 100-200 messages a day and most of them
are discussions on wanted features.

In my heart I agree with you and used the same and even more hard
words while I had an idea I can influence on this process. But I'm not
familiar with all this lawyer's and ethics of advertising tricks and
can't speak about what is "officially" permissible and what not. Now I
stay on pragmatic position - Yaffil exists for good or bad and we
should find way for co-existance if could'nt find it for co-operation.
