Hi List,
I have been trying to set up firebird here in my company rather than Mysql
as them want to put.
About the Firebird it is almost done, but as there is no other way than
Visual BAsic, because they have been using it for years, it is almost
certain that I will have to use it.
This afternoon I have been unsussesfully trying to connect vb with firebird,
and also use datapump to convert from access to firebird a database.
I would like to know as soon as possible from you, which driver or odbc is
to be used in this context. I have searched over older messages to avoid not
to ask long and many times answered questions here, I looked for in the
internet, but I would like to hear from you, if it is truth that I need an
odbc drive, since working with delphi or c++ Builder which I love, there
were no needs at all for odbc. Now with VB? Please if you like and want to
support firebird as I do, help me to convince them of using firebird with vb
not mysql.
Hope you are well,
and Any reply will be greatly appreciated,
TIA Marcello Miorelli
