In my experience there are some configurations that gbak just cannot
handle. I have managed to create a few databases that gbak cannot
restore so now I simply dont use it for anything except upgrading
databases to new server versions.

I have been working on an alternative backup program, so that I can
still do online backups but not get caught by gbak. If you are
