i don't think its easy, real not, i also test your workbench for me and
its a big software.
(Poor admin tools is not correct, also for other tool-developers)

Is 1.0.2.2 the last trialversion?

Hi,

As one of the tools builders that has build (and still is building) a tool
for InterBase/Firebird -- creating a working and easy to use GUI isn't
something that can be done in a couple of months. Don't think you can - it
really can't...

Someone tried some time ago: "tools cost money, bla bla, instable, bla bla -
I'll build one and release a first beta begin May 2001" ... well, there was
a beta (end of June) and it's not really much.

There are some good ones (I think I rank my own tool in there :) but they
cost you - simple as that.

If you want a free (open source) one, you can give Marathon a shot and see
if you like it. Both QuickDesk and IBExpert are kinda Marathon clones.

For a different GUI, try InterBase Workbench
( www.interbaseworkbench.com ) - a new version is almost ready.

"This is an object-oriented system.
If we change anything, the users object."

until now, I have tried WISQL, IB_SQL and IBAdmin.

None of them seems able to answer this simple question:

given a certain table A that I want to drop, which are the tables that have
constraints on A (and that prevent me from dropping the table) ?
