IBConsole is said to be open source... but it is also strictly IBX dependant
- hence, unless someone forks IBX, InterBase dependant.

IB_SQL (from Jason Wharton) is a nice free alternative, some others rely on
3rd party alternatives. www.IBPhoenix.com lists quite a few...

InterBase Workbench is one of them and will keep on supporting Firebird.
