Because their previous decision was to kill off Interbase
altogether. We kicked up such a stink that they agreed that
since they had no use for the code they would make it
available instead.

Then after advertising the fact, they changed their minds
again.

Explinations? They have'nt even said why they were going to
kill it in the first place <g>
