Classic doesn't run on a Win2000 box :)

Bert, you might want to download a trial of InterBase
Workbench - it fully supports Firebird and Firebird
specific features -- you will never see this in IBConsole.

InterBase Workbench also supports the Classic
architecture -- unlike... IBConsole :)

I know it isn't a free tool, but you might want to give
it a try anyway.

I've just tested 1.0.1.342 against Firebird WI-T6.2.612, so
it seems to me
that you are trying to use IBconsole with a classic server,
IBConsole will only work with
super-server versions.
