gstat will give reasonably comprehensive information, but not all.

isql has various show commands that also tell you what you need to know.

Ah, you'll be wanting the Holy Grail. We're still looking for it. In the
meantime, try IB_SQL from http://www.ibobjects.com/ibo_IB_SQL.html. It is not
quite open source.

Isn't TRICHEDITX derived from SynEdit? In any case SynEdit is worth getting if
you haven't already got it.
