I haven't had an opportunity to test this. It is hopeful that the server will
resolve the host aliases to the same name. However, being a hard-bitten,
defensive programmer I would say it is easier and quicker to just use a
consistent host name than to test whether the server resolves aliases
correctly.

IAC, it must make debugging easier. Your dns server may see the two names as a
single host now, but will it always?
