On further thought ... I remember that when I used WinNT, IB Server
after some time suddenly refused to start as a service and I had to
start it manually (as an ordinary program). There was a simple fix for
this (maybe moving Interbase to a directory without <space> in the name
or name nor longer than 8 characters, don't remember now ...).
